Vampires
Any vampires that have been turned are not immune to sunlight. They tend to be weaker than the vampires that can go out into the sunlight. If they do go out into the sunlight they will turn to ash. There isn't really a documented way to kill a vampire other than using sunlight, it is said that only a vampire can kill another of it's kind. Vampires are very fast, agile, and strong. They have heightened senses which allows them to see in the dark as well as see for long distances. Their hearing is ten times better than a humans, but their sense of smell is not so great. Some vampires have special powers like telepathy. Vampires have sharp fangs that can rip through flesh easily. Vampires cannot eat solid food, if they try they just throw it all back up. Vampires can only consume blood, either of an animals or humans. But human blood is the only kind that can build a vampire's full power. Vampires are only allowed to feed off of a captive human every two or three months, if they find a human outside the caves then they can do what they please with them. Vampires need to feed every two or three months.
Vampires look very different from humans. They have pale white skin, are very graceful, and beautiful beyond belief. Vampires can often still have their human eye color, however, some vampires can have red, grey, or even black irises. Their eye color appears to be brighter than it normally would be if they were human.
Humans
Humans have no special powers. They are no where near as strong as a vampires. When the virus first hit only a few hundred thousand people survived and became vampires. They began feeding off of all of the surviving humans, causing them to turn into vampires. Those who did not get infected either went into hiding or were turned or killed by vampires. In some rare cases a human would be bitten by a vampire and would not turn at all. Humans can have children with vampires. The baby would simply be born human. It wouldn't be until the child's 18th birthday that they would remain human or turn into a vampire.
Humans call vampire territory the Darklands. The Darklands are off limits for all surviving humans that are not being held captive by the vampires.
The humans that are held captive by the vampires are kept in the deepest parts of the caves at the coves. They are guarded by ten vampires each day.
Vampire Territories
The Blood City:
The Blood City was where everything began. This was where the virus first struck. The Blood City is where most of the vampires live. The Council resides in the heart of the city.
The Council:
The Council is made up of the head vampires. Anything they say goes. Their home is a large stone building. Inside the walls, floors, and ceilings are all white. The council meets in a dark room underground.
The Coves:
Here is where most of the vampires hideout. Inside the coves are hundreds of caves. All the caves are connected by long dark tunnels that seem to stretch on forever.
Hunting Lands:
The hunting lands are where vampires can go to catch a quick snack. Vampires can hunt the wildlife for fun or to feed off of them.
Survivors' Territory
Hidden Forest:
In the middle of the Hidden Forest is a waterfall. Behind the large waterfall is a small cave. At the back of the cave is a small tunnel. In order to get through to the back you have to crawl through a small tunnel. The tunnel then opens up under a small bush and into a meadow. If you walk along a small deer trail then you will end up entering a thinner part of the forest. Once in the forest again there is a small camp set up for lookouts. Beyond the camp is The Rebel Hideout.
The Rebel Hideout:
The Rebel Hideout is a large mansion just outside of the forest off of a dirt road. The Rebel Hideout is where many of the survivors live. The survivors leaders also live here.
Willow Pond:
On the far side of the hidden forest is a small pond. It's waters are filled with tons of fish to eat and can be good for a swim on a hot day.
The Storehouse:
The Storehouse is where the survivors store their food, weapons, etc. It is a six hour drive away from The Rebel Hideout at a small farm in order to keep the survivor's hideout a secret in case any vampires find The Storehouse.

Emerald Mountains:
The mountains get their names from the lush emerald green trees that grow on them. The mountains are home to wildlife and remain unclaimed by neither vampires or humans.
The Meadows:
The Meadows are wide open spaces, during the summer and spring they are covered with yellow wildflowers.
